First Baptist Church
O.K. is a native of Oklahoma. He received a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. O.K. is the longest tenured pastor of First Baptist Church- Memphis. He served along with his wife Dorothy in Memphis, Texas twenty two years before retiring in Amarillo, Texas. First Baptist Church- Memphis gave him the title Pastor Emeritus in 2006. He currently is a member of First Baptist Church-Amarillo and does intentional interim pastorates in the Texas panhandle region.
Nick is a native Texan from the West Texas town of El Paso. Nick grew up attending First Baptist Church of El Paso and is a graduate of El Paso High School. Nick is currently a Sophomore at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. He commutes back and forth on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Heather is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Millard South High School in 2001. She attended both the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Central Texas College. She plans on enrolling at Clarendon College to complete her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Heather served honorably in the United States Army for 12 years from 2002-2014. While stationed at Fort Hood, Heather met Nathan Altman, a Memphis native. They married in February 2007, and have 2 daughters: Jordyn and Haylie. Heather was baptized and rededicated her life as a follower of Jesus Christ in 2015. Since then, she has served on multiple mission teams spreading God's word in areas of the Pacific Northwest.
Jim is a native of Memphis, Texas. He graduated Memphis High School. He attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas and earned a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Music. Now retired Jim taught music at Clarendon College. Jim is married to his lovely wife Judy and they have four children. Jim spends his retirement leading worship at First Baptist and farming cotton in the surrounding area.
Daniel is a native of Central Texas, born in Waco. He became a follower of Jesus Christ at age 8. Daniel graduated high school from Parkview Christian Academy in Waco, Texas in 1989. He attended Baylor University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1996. He served as Youth and Music Minister at North Waco Baptist Church from April 1994 until August 1999. Daniel earned a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University in December 1999. He served as associate pastor at the First Baptist Church of Lorena, Texas from August 1999 until January 2006. Daniel is starting his tenth year of service as the pastor of First Baptist Memphis. He is currently completing a Doctor of Ministry at Logsdon Seminary at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. Daniel has two children one daughter Isabella and one son Benjamin.
